Journey Strings

This afternoon we all made a journey string of our gingerbread man journey. We stopped off at every place he visited and had to find something to stick onto our string that would remind us of where we had been. We spoke about how we shouldn't pull leaves or berries off trees due to them being a living thing. The children were great at recognising that adding long sticks and big stones wouldn't be safe so chose smaller objects that related explicitly to the place - fir leaves, bark, willow etc. I was sooooo pleased to see the children helping one another when they could see I was busy with helping someone else - they demonstrated so much love and kindness towards each other. Miss Hillman was so impressed with their strings and couldn't believe how well they recited our journey once back in the classroom. Super geographical skills Blue Class šŸŒŸ
