Healthy Snacks

We have been thinking about how we can stay healthy this term. We have thought of lots of ways to stay healthy; eating fruit and vegetables, sleeping, brushing our teeth, washing our bodies, washing our hands and completing lots of fun exercise. 
We know that we can eat chocolate and sweets but too much isn't going to keep us healthy but making sure we eat a balanced diet with fruit, vegetables, protein and carbohydrates with some fats will keep us healthy. 
This afternoon, we each made a healthy snack using a rice cake and a variety of fruit and vegetables. We discussed each ingredient and the children shared their opinion of whether they liked it or not (!). The children turned their snack into a face which they designed themselves. I was super impressed to see them cutting the fruit themselves taking great care.
