Team Prestbury History Curriculum

Our History curriculum is based on historical enquiry which encourages creativity and being curious, asking questions, considering possibilities and using the imagination about what life was like in the past. Enquiry develops children's higher order thinking skills:

applying existing knowledge to new situations,
thinking critically and not taking information at face value but analysing whether information is 'true', biased or fake
using problem solving to answer questions that do not simply require recall of information to arrive at a solution or a range of possible solutions
using evidence to make inferences about the past
