Year 2 were fantastic at the Kick Rounders Festival!
Reciting poems in our World Book Day costumes.
Having a blast in music!
Also in science, we were investigating which materials make a good conductor.
During our science lessons, we have been looking at plants.
Spring Maths. Learning shape and time.
Fun and games at Christmas!
At St Mary's Church for 'Experience Christmas'.
We had a lovely afternoon seeing The Nativity story told in another way.
In English we have been learning about Katie Morag. During this lesson, we were acting out parts of the story and think about how the characters would react to each other.
On Bonfire Night, we had a safety talk about fire. It was really interesting. We were able to see the clothes a firefighter would wear!
We have also been writing instructions for our class robot. This can be quite tricky sometimes. We have been trying to predict what instructions we would need to input to get the robot to move from point A to point B.
Before writing our instructions we had to make it. This helped us think out each step and the language we used, like 'spread the jam on the bread' instead of 'put the jam on the bread'.
We had an amazing time at our WOW day! Don't we all look great!
Throughout our maths lessons, we have been thinking about solving problems. Green class have been trying to find the missing numbers in a number sentence.
We have been creating pictures of our favourite traditional tale using a paint program on the laptops.
We have also been learning how to double and half numbers.
During maths, Green class have been learning to measure using centimetres.
Thank you to everyone who has been busy with their summer projects.
